
John Wright is a retired heart and chest surgeon, Australian born and working in Sydney. He writes on medical and surgical topics and was recently a tutor in medicine at the University of Sydney.
He was a chief of surgery, teacher and examiner at the University of New South Wales for 20 years. He retired from public hospital practice in 1986 and has consulted since, within Australia and overseas. He worked in skin cancer surgery between 2004 and 2007.
He is married, has three beautiful children and a wonderful grandchild. He travels widely, writes as a hobby and reads medical material every day.
