Present professional activities

John's book on "War Surgery" will be printed by an international publisher with world rights early in 2011. The title was originally suggested by Phillip Knightley.

John has recently written on anaesthesia, analgesia and surgeons, trauma care, War surgery in Iraq and Afghanistan, The Garling report on NSW hospitals and sham peer-review – Medical Malice and Mischief.

He is presently preparing for publication a manuscript entitled "Troubled Doctors".

He has a keen interest in "whistle-blowing" and was recently a tutor in the Faculty of Medicine, at The University of Sydney.
